Dichotomy

Description:

Once upon a time there was a beautiful princess in a kingdom where holy and satanic creatures roam freely. After kissing an angel and a demon, she’s now sought out by heaven to be punished and hell to be tortured. This tale is not one about seeking light nor succumbing to darkness, but one where you must maintain a balance… lest it end in treachery.

Gameplay:

Dichotomy is a turn based RPG where if you lose all your health or heal completely, it’s game over. Your character must manage spells and damage so that you don’t ascend to heaven nor descend to hell. Your enemies will have the same balance to uphold.

Storyline:

This game features a cast of queer characters in a short romance story. Despite the setting and occasional topics brought up, it’s not that heavy of a tale. You meet some interesting folks, and watch them interact.

Extra Notes:

While the setting and characters were inspired by certain religious beliefs (Satanism, Christianity, Catholicism, etc.), in no way is the game supposed to be representative of them in any way. It’s largely an aesthetic holding its own lore.
