v0.4 - The Fixing-Stuff-From-The-Jam Update

Hello hello, Proteus here, the games primary (and currently only) developer.

Welcome to v0.4, where we try and fix all the stuff we didn't have time for in the jam. On today's agenda, the movement was revamped, allowing more directions for the parasol to drag you in for finer precision while also adding in some rage potential in the tension of unclicking being how you jump, the parasol shows more accurately how many directions you can jump in and shows how that and the gliding works.

I'll take this time to go over a little bit of the philosophy behind the version numbers since there's not much in terms of content.

v0.0.1 was the first build, it contained a test area (the screen you start in) and prototype movement system (just the jumping). I think I sent this one to ReCaKo and he made the concept art shortly afterwards. It was assembled in roughly 4 hours, but was started around a day into the jam.

v0.1 was the first major version, containing the finalized version of the first movement system (now with the gliding) and the prototype level 1. It was finished a day and a half later, which puts us at less than 1 day left in the jam and at the last full day of development.

v0.2 was the second major version when the bones of the game were made playable. The kinks in the movement and were worked out and I started adding polish, like a pause menu and the stats you see in game. Finished near midnight of the last full day of development.

v0.3 was the final major version of the jam version, and the first I was happy to potentially submit. This one fully made the game playable, then added in stuff I considered necessary for the jam version, and some stuff I had time for. Finished 4 hours after v0.2 was finished, right as I went to bed.

v0.3.1, v0.3.2, and v0.3.3 were all bugfix and small polish updates finished in the hours leading up to the jam ending. I had 2-3 hours to work on them, so I just meddled with some stuff. I zoomed the camera in by a factor of 2, which made the game a lot more interesting, and added the speedrun option so you could see your score in real time.

v0.4 is where we are now. It was finished 2 weeks after the jam ended, but I only released it now cause I had some other stuff I needed to do.

As for the future, don't expect updates like this to come out, I'll probably release the update with all of level 1, 2, and 3 in it, so get comfy, it'll probably be awhile.
